I have been trying to update the history of the cabin but am falling behind and work continues. So I will have to mix the history in with the more recent work.
Over the last couple of weeks we have milled the ridge beams(2x10s) and raised the center support post (really a big piece of beach wood). Jonathan and I raised both of those by ourselves. It looked like a big spider web of rope we had rigged up to keep the post from falling.
We put up 11 rafters together. Then the guys showed up and blew through the rest. The face board at the bottom of the rafters required some monkey work in the rain and hail but they got it done. We are now waiting for some plywood to come up on the barge from Washington.
